2022’s festival has just finished BUT we’ve already got some new events for you:

48hr Film Challenges and Networking starts again at the end of June 2022 with the first of 6 free challenges and networking events throughout the year. Collaborating with the University of Northampton and in recognition of Pride and Refugee Week, Screen Northants will announce the theme on Friday 24th June at 6pm on their social media, then people have 48 hours to make a short film under 10 minutes on that theme and deliver it to them at V and B Northampton by 6pm on the Sunday. The Sunday is also their free networking event in the upstairs bar where all the entries will be watched on the night. The challenges are open to anyone as long as a member of your team lives or studies in Northants. The winning film from each challenge goes into a Winner of Winners category at the festival in May. Read more here.

We’ve also set up the new Screen Northants TV ‘television channel’ which we’re looking for people to help on behind the camera, we’ve opened a new Schools Competition AND we are offering some free workshops to Northampton schools, all of which you can find out about on our Participate page here.

2022’s timetable – in the end we also got an exclusive Q&A with Benediction Director Terence Davies! And we held the Northants Film & Television Expo for the very first time.

We had a great 48hr Film Challenge series for 2022 at our new home at V and B Northampton. You can read about the old challenges here.
